What are additive colors?
This type of color mode allows us to explain how the process occurs to obtain a color from primary additive colors: blue, green and red. This is achieved through additive color mixing, that is, with the combination of these three colors you can achieve light or white, which means that they offer the possibility of varying the intensity of the light in the different colors. . This entire process has the purpose of achieving the complete visible spectrum that these three colors provide us.
What are subtractive colors?
Thanks to the additive basic colors we obtain the subtractive primary colors: cyan, magenta and yellow, with which another process of color combinations occurs.
This process, called Subtractive synthesis, refers to the mixture of subtractive primary colors and the color black, in order to create colors that represent the opposite case of the visible spectrum that is obtained through the additive process; That is, white light is not added but subtracted to achieve colors that are not found with the mixture of blue, green and red.
