Allocate more RAM to Minecraft

Allocate more RAM to Minecraft
Manually allocating more RAM to Minecraft has become child’s play. This is how you do it:
Make sure you have the latest version of Minecraft. Check the total RAM of your computer (Start → Settings → System → About). Download and install the ATLauncher and open it. On the right, select Settings.Click on the tab Java/Minecraft.In the countryside Maximum Memory Ram, enter the amount of RAM you want to use (in MB, not GB), or use the arrows to set the value to 0.5 GB. Ends with «Save».
That is! The next time you load Minecraft, it will use the specific amount of RAM you have allocated to it.
Allocate more RAM on a Minecraft server
The process for adjusting the amount of RAM Minecraft will use when hosted on a server is slightly different. However, it remains simple
:
Open the directory of your minecraft server (the folder that contains the Minecraft_server.exe file that the Minecraft server runs under).
If you are not sure of its location, then search for «Minecraft_server» on your PC. Click on Start → new item → Text document on PC to create a text document in the directory. In the new text document, paste the following:
java -Xmx####M -Xms####M -exe Minecraft_Server.exe -o true PAUSEreplaces #### with the value in MB, of the amount you want to allocate (1 GB = 1024 MB). For example, to allocate GB of RAM, you would enter 2048. Click Archive → Save as… and change save as type to All the files. Name the file and change the extension to . txt to . bat.
The file you have created will now be the new launcher for your Minecraft server, just double click on it to launch it. It will automatically allocate the specified amount of RAM.
