Disney+: how to create or delete profiles to share your account

The Disney+ video-on-demand service and its impressive catalog of movies, cartoons, and television series came at the aggressive prices of 6.99 euros per month or 69.99 euros for a year.
This is enough to seriously compete with the services offered by competitors, with Netflix leading the way.
Netflix is priced at 7.99 euros/month and has a much lower image quality than the default Disney+ service.
If you really want to compare Disney+ with Netflix, you have to look at the latter’s Premium offer, which offers 4K image quality, but whose subscription costs 15.99 euros/month for 5 profiles and 4 simultaneous screens.

But then, for comparison, how many profiles can you create on Disney+? The answer is (caution, mockery)… a little more than on Netflix.
If the number of simultaneous screens is also 4, it is possible to configure up to 7 different profiles. This can be worn by all family members, or even just a few.
On the other hand, Disney+ may be less lax than Netflix. A few months ago, the platform announced that it wanted to hunt down those who shared their accounts abusively, even if they tolerated sharing passwords.
However, the application of such a measure seems quite complicated. In the United States, where the service is already available, such restrictions don’t really seem to be on the order of the day and it’s perfectly possible to share the account with people outside the family circle.
Disney+, by charging really low prices, offering excellent image quality and offering up to 7 different profiles, is therefore a serious challenge for Netflix.
However, the service suffers from two small flaws: it is not possible to enjoy Disney+ on an Internet box (except by subscribing to one of its Canal+ offers) and the catalog of original programs is still far from being as extensive as Netflix’s. .
The more so since The Mandalorian, the flagship series of Disney +, is broadcast directly, that is, one episode per week.
That’s enough to put off fans of Netflix series, who usually enjoy a full season from the first airing.
The battle between the two platforms is underway and it’s going to be hard, very hard!
How to add or remove a Disney+ profile.
To add a new profile :
1. Go to Disney+.
2. Go to the circle containing your avatar at the top right of the page
3 Click Edit Profiles
4. Choose an avatar from the «icons» that Disney+ offers.
5. Give this profile a name and click Save – note that this is where you can set this profile as a child profile (this account will only have access to content for the whole family).
To delete a Disney+ profile:
1. Go to Disney+.
2. Go to the circle containing your avatar at the top right of the page
3. Click Edit profiles
4. Click on the profile you want to delete
5. At the bottom of the page, under the Save button, click Delete Profile.
